The Kiwanis Club of Thousand Oaks Third Annual brew-fest will be held on Thursday, August 28th, 2014 (please see the attached flyer). The fest starts at 4pm but set-up starts at 2:30pm. We've been asked if we can have an "educational" section in addition to pouring beer so we'll need to put our thinking caps on to make a great display. Contact Courtney Morrow or me if you are interested in helping out and donating your homebrew.
We've found a new place to call home for this meeting.
The Elk's club of Thousand Oaks have offered their meeting room for our use. You can read up on the Elk's club here: http://www.elks2477.com/ . If we like the place we may have found our new PERMANENT home!!! So please join us as we give the Elks a try!! The SCHF is cancelled this year however we'll go ahead with our own bragging rights club only competition. The style is stouts so we hope you've been brewing!! In addition to the competition, we have some important club business to attend to; we'll be rolling out new club officer positions this year.
